Intro To Paper 4
There are many issues that need to be dealt with at UL Lafayette. One of the issues that effect me the most in my college life is the technology. I live in stokes currently now don't get me wrong I love living here, but not all of the rooms have internet access and the Cafe Fleur De Lis closes at 11:45. If i have homework i need to do late at night I would have to walk to the Conference Center or sit outside the Fleur De Lis and try to get a good connection. I know that they are destroying Stokes soon, but to be honest i like Stokes a lot and I would like them to keep it. If the school just invested a little money into refurbishing Stokes and possibly upgrade the internet into the dorms then it would be a more suitable place to live. I'm not saying that it isn't currently I'm just implying that it could be much better.

Your topic closely resembles mine, but I feel your thesis doesn't really seem like it could support a 4-5 page paper. Maybe if you gave more detail as to what you like about Stokes or the things you could do to help it out, you'd give the reader a better idea as to what your main intention is.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your thesis i believe that it would be really hard to use to support a 4-5 page paper. I however believe that if you expand on it a little more then you will be able to accomplish your goals. I must say that your ideas are very good and it seems as though your paper would be as well. If you elborate on the thesis a little bit more you should be able to reach then support of 4-5 page paper.
ReplyDeleteI think your topic is a good thing to argue, but it won't be enough for 4-5 pages. Also, people might argue against you that you should have done your work earlier and planned better so that you wouldn't be doing your work late at night. Also, if there are things you need on the internet, you can very easel go to the library and print them out. Also, using money to refurbish the technology would cause students to be paying even more than they already do and that would cause much turmoil between the students and the school. I think your argument is something worth fixing, but there are many ways to solve it that can be done by the students themselves without involving the school.
ReplyDeleteI think that you have made a very good point. Many students often complain about the wifi in the university, but especially in stokes. The university needs to realize that students have homework and studying to do late at night, and they need to come up with a way to make it possible for the student to do that. I think you just need to come up with some examples on how the students could get involved, and how the university could help make it possible.
